Just as soon as we put the littles on the bus we were off on Honey’s surprise 40th birthday trip!
We arrived at the Animal Kingdom Lodge before lunch and were greeted with jungle juice sangria while we checked in! (Sweater: Target clearance)
As luck would have it, our room was ready so we threw on our swim suits and hit the pool. (Swimsuit: Victoria Secret clearance)
After a good few hours of r&r, it was time to dress for dinner!!
We took the bus over to Magic Kingdom and then the monorail into the Grand Floridian. It was such a beautiful day!
We lucked out with the last table in Mizners and had a cocktail while listening to the orchestra. It was ah-mazing!!!!!!!!!!!
And before we knew it, we were off to Victoria and Albert’s for the most amazing dinner we’d ever had!
All seven courses, enjoyed over the span of a luxurious two-and-a-half hour meal, were just incredible.
Y’all know how we love our cheese!
But it was coffee and dessert that just put it all over the top. I had the Tanzanian Chocolate Timbale with Orange Scented Milk Chocolate Gelato and Honey enjoyed the Caramelized Banana Gâteau. That one was ahhhh-mazing!
As our dinner came to a close, they gave us the personalized menu’s (with Honey’s name and 40th birthday on them), a long stemmed red rose and a loaf of orange date bread for the next morning’s breakfast.
It was a truly magical evening and unlike anything we’ve ever done before!!!
Afterwards, we headed into the Magic Kingdom where we rode Haunted Mansion and Mine Train to cap off one of the most memorable evenings of our lives together.
Happy 40th Birthday, Honey!
xoxo
PS. I decided to pick TWO winners for my note card and pen set giveaway!!! Congratulations to Elizabeth Walker and Carly!! Send me an email with your monograms and I’ll get them right out to y’all.

My favorite courses were the Masago Crusted Maine Scallop with Coconut Curry Broth and my entrée of Veal with Black Truffles and Sauce Périgord. Honey had the Onion Ash Crusted Lamb Loin and Belly with Baby Parsnips.
