The baby’s kindergarten class has been doing a precious ABC Countdown for the last 26 days of school. It’s so cute, and he’s been so excited about it, that I had to share!
A: Awesome Art – create a special art project in class
B: Bubbles Day – play with bubbles at recess
C: Caring Day – discuss ways to care for the Earth in class
D: Dance Day – have a dance party in class
E: Earth Day – discuss ways to keep our Earth clean and beautiful
F: Favorite Book Day – bring in your favorite book to share
G: Green Day – wear green to school
H: Hawaiian Day – wear your best Hawaiian outfit
I: Interesting Day – be prepared to share an interesting fact about yourself
J: Joke Day – bring in your favorite joke to share with the class
K: Kangaroo Day – zoo field trip where we will see the kangaroos
L: Log-on Day – use the computer lab to review Kindergarten skills
M: Momma Goose Day – our program for the parents
N: Neon Day – wear neon colored clothes
O: Opposite Day – we will do things opposite throughout the day
P: Paint a Picture Day – we will create an original painting
Q: Question Day – answer questions about things we’ve learned all year
R: Red/Read Day – wear red and we will read throughout the day
S: Sportsmanship Day – for field day we will discuss ways of showing good sportsmanship
T: Tie Day – wear a tie to school AND we will practice tying our shoes
U: Unique Day – we will discuss how we are each unique in our own ways
V: Vacation Day – Kindergarten Beach Day celebration
W: Willems Day – we will enjoy books from one of our favorite authors, Mo Willems
X: X-tra Play Time Day – extra recess with all of our Kindergarten friends
Y: Year-End Movie Day – we will watch a movie
Z: Zip Up Day – we will zip up our year
I can hardly believe we are already on the final countdown and summer is nearly upon us. I am salivating at the thought of lazy mornings and afternoons spent at the pool.
